He’s one of the Lehigh Valley’s newer musicians, but he’s been in the biz for a while, wowing audiences everywhere. We’re so excited to welcome in Sean Marshall on this Music Monday.
Marshall said he was ninth out of ten kids. Music was a way to communicate with his older siblings.
Marshall was born in New Jersey and went to college in New York City. That’s where he got his start in music, playing in bars and pubs.
He has since traveled to other parts of the country for his wife’s career. His wife is an academic.
They are now returning to the Lehigh Valley. It’s “a little bit of a coming home for us,” he said.
He said his style is firmly rooted in folk music. He said the lyrics and narrative arcs of songs are very important to him. He also incorporates rock and jazz into his work.
