Bensalem police are expected to release more information about a fatal house fire in the township’s Andalusia section Tuesday afternoon.

One Bensalem resident died in the fire, which was reported in the 1100 block of Whittier Avenue around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, according to Bensalem Fire Rescue Chief Mark Antozzeski. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities confirmed the death , but did not release the name or age, or gender of the victim as of Wednesday afternoon.

The cause and origin of the first remain under investigation by the Bensalem Fire investigators and the police department, Antozzeski said.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office did not immediately respond Sept. 30 to an email seeking information about the autopsy. Police are expected to release more details later Wednesday, Sgt. Matthew Malcolm said.
