Although the Brooklyn Nets edged out the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night with a 114-108 victory at Barclays Center, their win was overshadowed by LeBron James’ debut in his newest digs.
The four-time MVP took the floor for the first time alongside Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, VJ Edgecombe and Joel Embiid, and it was, as expected, a sight to behold.
To be sure, it wasn’t always pretty. Embiid was turnover-happy. Brown struggled to chisel out volume beside all of the other starters. LeBron was pass-first at points to a fault.
