OBITUARY
William Frederick Barnett passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born on January 2, 1937, he was the son of the late William Quintus Barnett and Mary Jane (Wagner) Barnett of Lower Saucon, PA.
William proudly served in the United States Army for four years, stationed in Germany and Italy, where he was in the 54th Combat Engineers as a Radio Operator.
He devoted his career to working as a utility lineman for PPL. Outside of work, William enjoyed hunting and fishing, completing crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family.
William is survived by his daughter, Pamela Ann, son-in-law Edward Kordeck of Allentown, PA; his grandchildren, Brandon, David, and Brian Kordeck; his great-grandson, Benjamin Kordeck; as well as companion and close friend Judith Malone of Mt. Ephraim, NJ. Also, nieces Kay from Florida and Kathryn from Tennessee, grandnephews, grandnieces, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Anna A. (Lafferty) Barnett, and his sister, Karyn Barnett.
Services will be held on October 20, 2026 at 10:30 at Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055, followed by burial at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lower Saucon Sportsman Club, the Hellertown Historical Society, Planned Parenthood, or ACLU.
