Cloudy & Breezy, Feels like 30s Today, Upper Teens Early Tuesday In South Central Pennsylvania
Afternoon temperatures on Monday will be in the low/mid 40s across the Susquehanna Valley before dropping into the upper 20s & low 30s overnight.
GOOD AFTERNOON. WE’RE NOT GETTING THE SNOW, BUT WE ARE GETTING SOME OF THAT COLDER AIR THAT’S WORKING ITS WAY INTO THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. IT’S THE COLDEST AIR OF THE SEASON SO FAR, AND THAT WILL LAST AS WE GO THROUGH TONIGHT AND INTO YOUR TUESDAY. SO WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FOR THE REST OF THE DAY IS THOSE WIND CHILLS WILL BE IN THE 20S BY THIS EVENING, EVENTUALLY DROPPING DOWN INTO THE TEENS FOR TOMORROW MORNING. SO MAKE SURE YOU BUNDLE UP FOR IF YOU’RE HEADING OUT TO WORK OR SCHOOL IN THE MORNING. THOSE WIND CHILLS REMAIN IN THE LOW 30S AS WE GO THROUGHOUT YOUR TUESDAY AFTERNOON, WE MAY SEE AN ISOLATED RAIN OR SNOW SHOWER TODAY AS WE GO INTO OUR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. BUT IT DOES LOOK LIKE THAT’S GOING TO BE VERY HIT OR MISS. THE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE. THE WIND CHILL RIGHT NOW FEELS LIKE 34 IN LEBANON, 33 IN LANCASTER, 36 IN GETTYSBURG, AS WELL AS HARRISBURG AND 35 IN CHAMBERSBURG AT THIS HOUR. AND WHEN WE LOOK AT THE PREDICTOR WITH THESE NUMBERS, WATCH HOW THEY DROP OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. THEY’LL DROP INTO. AGAIN, THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO FEEL LIKE AS YOU STEP OUTSIDE TOMORROW MORNING. SO THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL WANT TO DRESS FOR. IT’S GOING TO BE THOSE UPPER TEENS ACROSS MOST OF THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY TOMORROW. THEN WE’LL GET WARMER AS WE GO INTO THE AFTERNOON, BUT IT’S ONLY GOING TO FEEL LIKE YOU’RE NEAR THE FREEZING MARK ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA HERE. THROUGH YOUR TUESDAY AND RIGHT NOW. STORM TEAM, LIVE RADAR NETWORK. WE’VE GOT THE CLOUDS. WE JUST DON’T HAVE ANY OF THE PRECIPITATION NEARBY. THAT’S ALL. GOING OUT TOWARDS ALTOONA. I-99 KIND OF BEING THE CUTOFF THERE. SOME OF THOSE FLURRIES MAY AGAIN WORK THEIR WAY INTO PARTS OF MIFFLIN AND JUNIATA COUNTY, ESPECIALLY AT THE RIDGE TOPS, BUT OTHERWISE IT’S GOING TO BE JUST A CLOUDY, COOL DAY IN THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. YOU GOT RAIN TO THE EAST, SNOW TO THE WEST. BUT WE ARE GETTING THE DRY AIR HERE, INCLUDING IN YORK RIGHT NOW. A LITTLE BIT OF THAT SUN TRYING TO PEEK THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON AS YOU STEP OUTSIDE. AND IN YORK RIGHT NOW IN YORK COUNTY, 44 DEGREES. WE ARE NOT SEEING ANY RAIN. THERE IS, THOUGH. CLOUDY WINDS ARE OUT OF THE NORTHWEST, 10 TO 20MPH. THAT’S WHAT’S GOING TO MAKE IT FEEL COLD OUTSIDE AS WE GO THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. SO THAT WIND WILL CONTINUE. SO WHEN WE LOOK AT YOUR FORECAST, THE AIR TEMPERATURE ITSELF WILL BE IN THE 40S, BUT IT WILL DROP INTO THE 30S ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN. THIS IS ALSO GOING TO BE WHEN YOU’RE GOING TO FEEL THOSE WIND CHILLS IN THE 20S HERE AFTER SUNSET TONIGHT AS WE GO INTO TONIGHT, PARTLY CLOUDY. IT WILL BE DRY WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE UPPER TEENS AND LOW 20S LIKE WE SAW THE AIR TEMPERATURE THOUGH ITSELF RIGHT AROUND 30 DEGREES HERE WITH GUSTS AT 30MPH. TOMORROW PARTLY SUNNY. WIND CHILLS IN THE 20S AND 30S THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE DAY. A FEW FLURRIES AGAIN FOR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES, BUT OTHERWISE WE’LL BE IN THE LOW 40S HERE UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS. WHEN WE LOOK AT PREDICTOR, YOU CAN SEE AGAIN, WE’RE JUST GOT THAT DRY AIR OVER PLACE, SO WE’RE NOT REALLY GETTING MUCH HERE. A COUPLE OF THOSE LITTLE SNOW SHOWERS THOUGH. TRY TO GET IN HERE, SEE IF MAYBE WE CAN GET A LITTLE BIT. BUT OTHERWISE IT’S GOING TO STAY OUT OF HERE. AS WE GO INTO YOUR TUESDAY. AGAIN. SAME STORY. SNOW SHOWERS STAY NORTH OF I-80 FOR THE MOST PART HERE. THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY IS DRY AND A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS. AS WE GO INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY, WE GET RID OF THE COLDER AIR AND WE SEE THINGS RETURN TO MORE SEASONABLE CONDITIONS IN THE 50S HERE, AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE MIDDLE PART OF YOUR WEEK. SO WE JUST GOT TODAY AND TOMORROW WITH THOSE TEMPERATURES THERE BEING IN THE 40S, IT’S REALLY TOMORROW MORNING TO YOU AND JUST BE PAYING ATTENTION TO BECAUSE OF THAT WIND CHILL. OTHERWISE IT’S GOING TO BE BREEZY AND MORE SEASONABLE AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE MIDDLE PART OF THE WEEK. IF YOU’RE HOPING FOR SOME RAIN, YOU’LL HAVE TO
