An Allentown man was found guilty Thursday of killing a man two years ago on Labor Day in the city.
Hector Martinez, 27, was convicted following a three-day trial of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm without a license in the Sept. 2, 2024 killing of Terrence Brunson, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan.
Brunson, 39, was fatally shot while on the front porch of a home in the 500 block of West Liberty Street, according to officials. The shooter, later identified as Martinez, was wearing a face cover, and fled to his home after the shooting, the DA said in a news release.
Brunson was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from a single gunshot wound to his chest.
Martinez was arrested over a year later. He will be sentenced next month.
