This will mark the 113th tree used in the City’s history
PITTSBURGH —
The City of Pittsburgh has chosen its 113th official Christmas Tree.
The 38-foot-tall blue spruce was donated by a homeowner in Brighton Heights.
The tree will be transported from the home to City Hall this November, and will be decorated in time for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s Light Up Night celebrations in December.
After the holiday season, the tree will not go to waste. The city plans to turn it into mulch for the CitiParks system.
