PITTSBURGH — A man was shot in Pittsburgh’s East Hills on Tuesday.

Allegheny County dispatchers said police and medics were called to the 2200 block of Wilner Drive at 9:31 p.m.

A Pittsburgh Public Information Officer said an eighteen-round ShotSpotter alert went off in that area.

Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso and upper legs. They applied seals and tourniquets until medics arrived to take him to the hospital.

Officials said the man was taken to a hospital and immediately taken into surgery. He is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses told investigators they saw a shooter flee in an unknown direction.

Police are reviewing surveillance video and recovered shell casings at the scene.
