Another week, another flex for the elite high school football teams across Pennsylvania as they continue to rock the rest of the competition in October.

The top 30 teams in last week’s Trib HSSN state rankings were a combined 28-2 in Week 7.

The two losses led to the only changes in the Top 5 in Class 4A and in Class A.

In a District 2 game of the year candidate, Scranton Prep outlasted North Pocono in triple overtime, 37-36, as the Trojans fell for the first time while the once-beaten Crusaders take over at No. 5.

In Class A, traditional District 3 power Steelton-Highspire knocked District 4 Line Mountain from both the ranks of the unbeaten and the Top 5. The Steamrollers moved into the No. 5 spot in A.

The teams at the top of each class remain the same with Central Catholic in 6A, Pine-Richland in 5A, Shamokin in 4A, Northwestern Lehigh in 3A, Seton LaSalle in 2A and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy.

There is one battle of ranked teams set for Week 8 in District 4 when Class 5A No. 4 Southern Lehigh visits Class 3A No. 2 Notre Dame-Green Pond with both teams looking to improve to 8-0.
