POCONO TWP., Pa. – Authorities in the Poconos say they seized multiple knives from the home of a woman they say stabbed her husband and son to death at Great Wolf Lodge.

Metallica Harrison, 27, of Towanda in Bradford County, faces two counts of homicide. Harrison is being held at the Monroe Correctional Facility. She is due in court for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 21.

According to an inventory of seized property, authorities seized other items, including:

Multiple closed envelopes

White, green, pink, journals

Red journal

Miscellaneous records

Financial records

Black laptop with charger

Financial notebook

A safe

In an affidavit of probable cause, police said a search of her home could give insight into Harrison’s motive.

Authorities said the search could also help them recover evidence connecting the knife used at the crime scene to other items at her home.

In the affidavit, police said documentation in the home could give insight into why the couple was staying at the resort for the last three weeks, as well as the couple’s financial payments and their source.

Authorities said the home’s condition could also give authorities insight into the couple’s actions.

Police say the woman called 911 after the stabbings at Great Wolf Lodge, telling dispatchers she needed help committing suicide to be with her family.

Investigators said the probe into the deaths at Great Wolf Lodge will be lengthy.

According to the criminal complaint, Harrison was suicidal and told officers she wanted “to be with” her husband, Charles Harrison, and their son.

In a recording of the 911 call made about 3 p.m. Monday, dispatchers can be heard saying: “At Great Wolf Lodge on Great Wolf Drive. She is saying that she needs help dying. Says she does have a knife on her; she’s hysterically crying.”

Harrison told dispatchers her husband and son were “already gone,” and did not ask for help for them.

Officers said they found Charles Harrison and the couple’s 3-year-old son dead of stab wounds, both lying on separate mattresses on the floor of the guest room.

Police also found two knives in the guest room bathroom, including a large kitchen knife, and several bottles of medicine and a liquid believed to be blood.

Great Wolf Lodge said a knife found at the scene was not the type provided by the resort.

Harrison was taken to a hospital for treatment of her wounds.

The affidavit said she told EMS she “was not supposed to be here,” later saying, “Every day, I work so hard, to be the best person, the best mother, the best wife.”

Court paperwork says Harrison, her husband, and son checked into the hotel on Sept. 21, extending their reservation with a check-out date for Oct. 13, more than four weeks after they arrived.

Great Wolf Lodge representatives said they are deeply saddened by the incident, writing in another statement to 69 News on Wednesday: “While our resort is open for guests, we also recognize some guests may not feel comfortable visiting the resort right now, and therefore currently we’re allowing guests to change their reservation without any penalties.”

The resort released a prior statement on Tuesday:

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains. It was an isolated family incident, and we’re cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected. Out of respect for those involved, as well as the integrity of the investigation, we ask that any further information regarding this matter be directed to Pocono Township Police Department.”
