The Schuster Theatre at Gannon University has announced its 2026 to 2027 season, featuring a mix of classic and contemporary productions that explore themes of hope, loss, and humor through a variety of theatrical styles.
“Our lineup this year will reintroduce audiences to some old favorites while introducing them to new ones,” said Angela Howell, artistic director of the Schuster Theatre. She encouraged the community to attend and support the performances of students and local actors throughout the season.
The upcoming season includes:
The Moors by Jen Silverman, running November 5 until November 14, 2026.
Paved with Gold and Ashes by Julia Thurston, scheduled for February 11 until February 20, 2027.
Godspell, running April 22 through May 1, 2027.
Shakespeare Summer Nights: Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, set for June 14 until June 23, 2027.
The season will also mark the final year of performances at Scottino Hall, located at 620 Sassafras Street in Erie. University officials said a reception celebrating the hall’s legacy and closure is planned for early May before theatrical programming transitions to other community venues.
Supporters interested in helping sustain current and future Schuster Theatre productions can make contributions through the university’s giving program. Additional information about the season and ticket details is available through Gannon University.
