With labor strife hanging over the head of Major League Baseball, there’s no guarantee the Pittsburgh Pirates will play at PNC Park next summer.

But that doesn’t mean there won’t be baseball at the ballpark.

The Savannah Bananas announced Thursday that they will return to Pittsburgh for games against the Indianapolis Clowns on Aug. 6-7 next summer.

Specific ticket information has not yet been released, but the team is encouraging fans to sign up for a ticket lottery on its website, bananaball.com, before Oct. 31.

The barnstorming Bananas played a pair of sold-out games against the Texas Tailgaters at PNC Park in 2025.

The Bananas play a crowd-pleasing brand of baseball that includes dance routines and comedy sketches, rewards trick plays, eliminates walks, records an out if a fan catches a foul pop and conforms to a two-hour time limit.
