Wilson police are investigating two armed robberies that happened this month in the borough.

Police said the first robbery happened around 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at Papa John’s at 752 S. 25th St. A man walked in, brandished a knife and demanded money from the only employee there, according to a department news release.

He stole cash from the register and ran away.

Investigators said the man was was wearing a black button-down sweatshirt, jeans and a hat.

The second robbery happened about 1 a.m. Monday at the Penn Jersey gas station at 2134 Northampton St. Police said two men entered the store with guns and began opening registers. One of the men put an employee in the back of the store while he opened the registers, the release state.

They took cash, cigarettes and vapes before leaving on foot. Both men were wearing hooded sweatshirts with masks.
