READING, Pa. – The 12th annual Pumpkin Festival got underway in West Reading on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Event organizers curated a specialty-themed pumpkin menu, including fall cocktails and a DJ from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Earlier this month, West Reading Tavern had a 700-pound pumpkin dropped off to be carved during the event.
Danny Kissel, an artist known for his pumpkin carvings, got to work Saturday, carving a pirate out of the giant squash.
