Glenwood “Glen” Bryant Webster, age 95, of Boones Mill, took the Lord’s Hand and was led Home Thursday, October 22, 2026. He was born July 25, 1931, the third child of Rufus Cary Webster and Fannie Holt Webster. Glen exemplified a life of service. A lifelong member of Bethlehem Church of the Brethren, he served in many capacities and varied responsibilities, including Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School Treasurer and teacher. He retired from Continental Homes after 25+ years of service. Glen enjoyed working outdoors from his garden to working the farm, until recent years he was always busy working, always wanting to help his family, friends and neighbors. Glen was also known for his woodworking skills, from building his house and his children’s houses, kitchen cabinets, frames and odds and ends projects using everything from his hands to his trusty chainsaw! He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Roxie Meador Webster; brothers Marvin, Buford and Richard Webster; sisters, Susie Guilliams Flora and Loulie Belle Argabright. He leaves behind his children, Glenna Webster Ridgway and husband Jerry, Mark Webster and wife Kim, Nancy Webster; grandchildren, Allyson Ridgway Lynch, Andrew Ridgway and wife Amory, Amy Light; great-grandchildren, Emily and Holden Lynch, Hayes and Baker Ridgway; sisters Hilda Greene and Mary Ellen Meredith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Bethlehem Church of the Brethren (4250 Bethlehem Road, Boones Mill, VA 24065). The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Friendship Health and Rehab South, Roanoke Memorial 8 Mountain PCU and Flora Funeral Service for the care, compassion and guidance they have shared during these difficult days. Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2026 with Pastor Tony Emmons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
