L. SAUCON TWP., Pa. — A crash on Interstate 78 involving at least three vehicles, including two tractor-trailers, brought traffic to a standstill Monday night.
A Northampton County emergency communications supervisor said the call came in just before 9 p.m. for a multivehicle accident near the Route 378 underpass by Hellertown.

Officials say one tractor-trailer traveling east lost control, crossed into the westbound lanes and rolled over, causing another tractor-trailer to strike a vehicle. The tractor-trailer that crossed lanes was carrying a load of cranberry juice.
It’s not known at this time if anyone was seriously injured, but authorities say one person had to be freed from one of the tractor-trailers.
