Angela L. Gentile
OBITUARY
Angela L. Gentile, 67, of Dunmore, PA, died peacefully surrounded by family and caregivers on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026. She was the daughter of the late cardiologist, Dr. Anthony Gentile and his wife Gwendolyn Gentile. Angela was the second youngest of her five siblings and undoubtedly the glue for the Gentile family.
Angela was born in Scranton, PA on October 19th, 1959. Throughout her life, Angela faced the challenges of living with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome – a seizure disorder, with a strong spirit and an unwavering resilience. For many years she thrived attending the day program at the ARC of Northeastern Pennsylvania, making strong connections with her classmates and staff.
Angela was full of life and loved to laugh. One of her favorite things was to talk on the phone with her friends and family. She was always eager to go out for a ride in the car and also enjoyed a warm home life with her family. Like her father she loved to sing and listen to music. Like her mother Angela was creative and always enjoyed painting and drawing. Angie as she was fondly called by those closest to her adored holidays and was always dressed accordingly, along with all the bracelets and necklaces she could have on – she loved her jewelry.
Above all, Angela had a beautiful, infectious smile that she was always eager to share with others. Those fortunate enough to have known her will remember her warmth, joyful spirit, and the happiness she brought to the people around her.
Surviving are two sisters, Pamela Gentile, San Francisco, CA; Mary Gentile-Bull and husband, Stirling Bull, Waldorf, MD; a brother, Joseph and wife Cindy Gentile, Dunmore, PA; seven nieces and nephews, Lilly Bull and fiance Evan Domonkos; Matthew and wife, Colleen Gentile; Robert Gentile; Thomas Beckage; Tara Beckage; Nicole and husband Derek Mancuso; and Jessica Beckage and fiance, Nicholas DeSando, and six great-nieces and nephews, Gabriella, Gia and Gulianna Goff; Enzo and Aria Mancuso, and Nicholas DeSando.
