PITTSBURGH —
A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Pittsburgh police were called to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Moore Avenue.
That’s where authorities found the woman. She was taken to a hospital, where she is in critical condition.
Businesses in the area were put on lockdown as a precaution.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating. The name of the victim has not been released.
Investigators are asking anyone in the community who saw or heard something to come forward.
“Any information is critical as part of the investigation to determine who the suspect was, and hopefully getting a resolution and some justice for the victim,” Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Eliza Durham said.
