Kevin’s on Penn, an American contemporary fine-dining restaurant, will open Friday, Nov. 6. It will be similar to Kevin’s, the Kingston restaurant also owned by Friedman Hospitality.
The 302 Penn Ave. restaurant adjoins the more casual 16th Ward, another Friedman property.
It will open for dinner at 5 p.m. six days a week, closing at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed on Sunday.
The Underground, a railroad-themed lower-level bar, will offer music. The lower level can also become an event space.
Entrees will range in price from $25 to $55. Matt Gilbert, executive chef at Kevin’s, will also be executive chef in Scranton. He’ll bring some signature dishes, including shrimp and scallops with a sambuca blush sauce, espresso martinis and crème brûlée.
There is a customer parking lot across the street.
