A total of 5,466 Alexander County voters have cast ballots through Tuesday, October 27, since in-person Early Voting for the 2026 General Election began on Thursday, October 15.
Early Voting runs from 8:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. through Friday, October 30. On Saturday, October 31, hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The early voting sites are: CVCC Alexander Applied Technologies Center (230 Industrial Blvd., Taylorsville), Bethlehem Community Fire & Rescue (7373 NC Hwy. 127, Taylorsville), and Hiddenite Fire Department (4975 NC Hwy. 90 E, Hiddenite).

Early Voting versus Election Day Voting

During the early voting period, voters may cast a ballot at any of the three early voting sites, and would-be voters may same-day register and vote. This is different than Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, where registered voters must vote at their assigned polling place. Same-day registration is only available during the early voting period and is not available on Election Day.
