READING, Pa. – A new destination for pizza, cheesesteaks and other freshly prepared eats is set to open next week in Berks County.
Chef David’s Pizza & More Downtown is tentatively set to open on Monday, Nov. 2, at 35 N. Sixth St. in Reading, according to an announcement on the business’ social media pages.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
“I’m so excited to get everybody here,” owner and chef David Calvo said in the video announcement. “Downtown Reading, I’m here for you.”
Calvo also operates Chef David’s Pizza & More at 500 Penn Ave. in West Reading and Chef David’s Star City Diner at 600 Shoemaker Ave. in Shoemakersville.
All dishes are “made with love,” Calvo says.
Chef David’s Pizza & More, which opened in 2025 in West Reading, offers gourmet pizzas such as bruschetta, chicken teriyaki, chicken honey garlic, chicken mango habanero, meat lovers, penne ala vodka, mac and cheese and taco.
Cheese pizza can be customized with your choice of roughly two dozen toppings, including bacon, banana peppers, chicken cutlet, grilled chicken, mushrooms, pepperoni, pineapple and ricotta cheese.
Customers also can enjoy appetizers such as broccoli cheese bites, corn nuggets, fried ravioli, fried shrimp, garlic knots and pierogies; and cheesesteaks such as Buffalo, California, Berks County (mushrooms and cheese), Al Capone (banana peppers, onions and cheese), Robert DeNiro (cheese whiz, mozzarella and provolone) and 3X Pork (sausage, ham, bacon and cheese whiz).

Dinners, served with linguine or penne pasta and two garlic knots, include options such as chicken Francese, chicken Marsala and lasagna.
Other menu highlights include bone-in or boneless chicken wings, available in your choice of nearly two dozen sauces, and a wide array of specialty hot dogs, burgers, gyros, calzones, strombolis, flatbreads, quesadillas, hoagies, specialty fries, salads and desserts.
The West Reading restaurant is open 24/7.
