LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — With the primary election coming up soon, Lower Merion Township voters may have a new place to cast ballots, as the township’s voting wards have recently been redistricted.

According to officials, the 2020 Decennial Census demonstrated a 10-year population increase in the Township of 5,808 residents to a total population of 63,633 with a 37.4 percent deviation in the range in population between the lowest and highest populated wards.

As a result of the finding, Lower Merion Township’s ward boundaries had to be modified to be as nearly equal in population as practical.

Residents can find out where they will be voting using this website.

The goal of redistricting is to realign the 14 Wards in the Township to have their populations be as close to the “ideal ward size” as possible.

Residents whose wards have changed should go online here to find out if their polling place changed as well
