Folks,
While I am working on a good story about Chattanooga, I am struggling with some health issues and I really appreciate everyone’s support as I struggle with them. I’ve dealt with Long COVID issues for a while, and when the weather starts to get cold like this, every year, they flare up again.
I’m sleeping a lot, but very excited about what’s happening in Chattanooga and trying to get caught up.
Meanwhile, my story about the mixed feelings in our Jewish community here in Pittsburgh about Bari Weiss and her misuse of the Tree of Life Massacre to attack Palestinians has gone viral. The piece features the views of members of a congregation targeted in the massacre.
The piece also exposes Weiss’ union busting both at CBS News and in crossing the picket line at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The piece has garnered over 5,000 shares on various social media platforms including Bluesky, (where we recommend people follow me). Journalist Will Pollock wrote on Bluesky to his 12,000 followers that it was a must read!
“Scab known as Bari Weiss didn’t just cross the picket line. she returned to a crime scene: Pittsburgh/Post-Gazette is “ground zero” (as @mikeelk.bsky.social beautifully explains) for huckster Bari’s fraudulent up-marketing as “thinker” & “influencer”, wrote Pollock.
Read the full story here that has gone viral.
I am gonna wrap up a newsletter tonite and try to get out something on Chattanooga tomorrow. Big thanks again for all the donations.
