Philly man accused of shooting wife held on $1.5M bail
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has charged the 75-year-old, Fredrick Arnold, with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other related offenses after they say he shot his wife multiple times in Oxford Circle.
PHILADELPHIA – Investigators say a woman is recovering after she was shot in the head and mouth by her husband overnight inside a rowhome in Philadelphia.
The backstory:
Philadelphia police officers were called to the 1300 block of Hale Street in the city’s Oxford Circle section late Sunday just before midnight.
Investigators say a 52-year-old was shot twice times, including in her head and mouth, by her 75-year-old husband.Â
The victim was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.Â
The husband was taken into custody at the scene, according to investigators.

The court set Arnold’s bail at $1.5 million, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 21.Â
