EASTON, Pa. – A stretch of road in Easton will be closed Thursday, as crews prepare for this year’s Peace Candle installation.
A portion of Centre Square’s roadway will be closed to traffic so that the crane used to build the Peace Candle can be placed there, according to a news release from the city.
The city says it expects N. 3rd St. and the 300 block of Northampton St. (the one-way section) to both be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
S. 3rd St. and the 200 block of Northampton Street will still flow into the circle as usual, the city said.
The city said the 200 block of Northampton St. exiting the circle going eastbound is currently closed for hotel construction.
The annual Peace Candle Lighting Ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 29: https://www.shopdowntowneaston.com/peace-candle-lighting/
