Professional basketball is returning to Erie this winter as the Jamestown Jackals—operated by the nonprofit #IntegrityFirst, Inc.—prepare for their second season in the Basketball Super League (BSL). The 2025 season will run from December through March, followed by playoffs in April, with the Jackals hosting between 12 and 16 home games at the Hagerty Events Center.

The BSL features elite competition across North America, including four Canadian franchises—Sudbury, Windsor, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Montreal—with the Jackals proudly representing the United States as the league’s only American team competing for a playoff spot.

The Jackals enter the season following a successful BSL debut, finishing 4th overall and taking the eventual champions, the Sudbury Five, to a decisive Game 5 in the semifinals, falling just three points short of advancing to the finals.

“We’re thrilled to bring professional basketball back to Erie and re-engage the passionate fan base that supported the Erie BayHawks for so many years,” said Kayla Crosby, Executive Director of #IntegrityFirst, Inc. and General Manager of the Jamestown Jackals. “Our goal is to fill that void and reignite the excitement for live professional basketball in this great sports city.”

The relocation follows the team’s effort to secure a larger venue in Jamestown that met league standards. With the Hagerty Events Center now serving as home court, the Jackals are excited to expand their fan base, create new community partnerships, and offer family-friendly, high-energy entertainment to Erie residents.

Beyond the game, the Jackals—through #IntegrityFirst, Inc.—remain committed to community impact, continuing to offer youth programs, free basketball clinics, and leadership development initiatives throughout Erie and neighboring Chautauqua County.

“Basketball is just the platform,” Crosby added. “Our true mission is to build character, leadership, and unity—both on and off the court. Erie’s energy and love for the game make it the perfect place to continue that mission.”

The 2025 BSL season schedule, ticket information, and partnership opportunities will be announced soon. For updates, follow @JamestownJackals on social media and we update our Erie based brand.
