Restoration House held its grand opening celebration on Nov. 14.
The organization is a faith-based recovery residence and nonprofit located at 122 Cypress Street after almost two years of planning and organizing.
Valerie Perkins, CEO and Founder of Restoration House, shares her thoughts on being the first female led recovery house in Erie: “I didn’t realize that when I started this process, you know, I was just looking at what Erie has done for me. I am so grateful to places like the Mercy Center, and Gaudenzia Community House. I was fortunate. God just blessed me; I bought this second house. My plan initially was to move into it myself, but the closer I got to the closing, I felt the urging and prompting to help some people.”
