Scattered evening showers, then a windy Sunday across south-central Pennsylvania
A warm front may trigger a few showers late in the day, with scattered showers in the evening. Can’t rule out a rumble or two of thunder. Sunday is looking like another windy day across the area!
WHILE RYAN SOUNDS LIKE SOME SHOWER CHANCES IN THE MIX, BUT IT ALSO SOUNDS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE GUSTY OUT THERE. IT WILL BE. YEAH, WE ACTUALLY MADE TOMORROW AN IMPACT DAY FOR THOSE GUSTY CONDITIONS. BUT BEFORE WE CHAT ABOUT OUR IMPACT DAY FORECAST FOR YOUR SUNDAY, TAKING A LOOK AT STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK, SEEING SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS POPPING UP ON STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK. ALL THANKS TO THIS DISTURBANCE THAT’S SITUATED TOWARDS OUR NORTH OR TOWARDS THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE GREAT LAKES. YOU CAN SEE A WARM FRONT DRAPED OVER THE COMMONWEALTH AT THIS TIME AND THEN JUST LOOKING UPSTREAM, YOU CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT OF A COLD FRONT IS GOING TO START TO MOVE THROUGH. THAT’S WHAT’S GOING TO BE HELPING TO BRING THOSE SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES AS WE HEAD INTO THIS EVENING. SO EXPECT SOME LIGHT SHOWERS AND THEN FOR TOMORROW, LOOKING AT ANOTHER WINDY SUNDAY WITH SOME FALLING TEMPERATURES, THE STORY FOR TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE THE WINDS. THAT’S WHAT IT’S GOING TO BE. BLUSTERY AND COOLER START TO THE WORKWEEK AS WE GET INTO NEXT WEEK. SO FOR THIS EVENING, EXPECT THOSE SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES WITH RISING TEMPERATURES INTO THE LOWER 50S RIGHT NOW. BUT LOOK AT THIS TEMPERATURE RANGE THAT I HAVE HERE OVERNIGHT. TONIGHT WILL BE INTO THE UPPER 50S. EVENTUALLY, AS SOON AS THAT COLD FRONT STARTS TO MOVE THROUGH, THAT’S WHAT’S GOING TO HELP DROP OUR TEMPERATURES BACK DOWN TO THE LOWER 50S. COULD SEE AN ISOLATED SHOWER AS WE GET INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD, BUT WINDS ARE CERTAINLY GOING TO BE INCREASING AS WE GET INTO LATER TONIGHT, AND ALSO ESPECIALLY INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. CLOUDS AND SOME SUNSHINE. BUT LOOK AT THE GUSTS HERE, FOLKS. 35 TO 40MPH COULD SEE A STRAY RAIN OR SNOW SHOWER TOWARDS OUR FAR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES. BUT BECAUSE OF THOSE WINDS, WE’VE MADE TOMORROW AN IMPACT DAY. HERE’S HERE’S THE WIND GUSTS IN THE DIRECTION IN TERMS OF THE NEXT OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS, YOU CAN SEE STARTING 8:00 IN THE MORNING, GOING UP TO ABOUT 40MPH, POSSIBLY ONCE WE GET TO ABOUT LUNCHTIME. SO THE TIMING BETWEEN 9 A.M. AND 6 P.M., THAT’S WHAT IT’S GOING TO BE AS WE GET INTO, AS WE GET INTO THE IMPACT DAY. IN TERMS OF THE ALMANAC, WE ARE LOOKING AT TEMPERATURES INTO THE LOWER 50S AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR IS RIGHT AROUND 54 DEGREES. WE SEE LOWS RIGHT AROUND PAR FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. NO RAINFALL AT HARRISBURG. TEMPERATURES FOR RIGHT NOW INTO THE LOWER 50S. YOU CAN SEE THE DELINEATION OF THAT WARM FRONT STARTING TO COME IN. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE HIGHER TEMPERATURES. HERE COMES SOME MORE OF THOSE SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES. AND THEN AS THAT WARM FRONT PUSHES THROUGH, ALONG WITH THAT COLD FRONT, YOU SEE, RIGHT IN THE WAKE OF IT, WE START TO GET THE COLDER AND WINDIER CONDITIONS. ALONG WITH THAT SNOW SHOWER CHANCE TOWARDS OUR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES AS WE GET INTO OUR SUNDAY AND POSSIBLY GETTING INTO MONDAY. SO YOU CAN SEE RIGHT NOW FOR YOUR DAY TOMORROW. LOOKING AT AN IMPACT DAY MONDAY STARTING BLUSTERY AND COOLER, A FEW SHOWERS TOWARDS OUR SOUTH AS WE GET INTO TUESDAY. COOL

As a warm front, associated with a disturbance passing to our north, moves across the Valley, a few showers are expected to move through the area heading into this evening under cloudy skies. With the passage of this warm front, temperatures will continue to rise towards midnight into the mid and upper 50s to near 60°. Showers, along with a few possible rumbles of thunder, will persist through late tonight before wrapping up once a cold front passes. Rain totals will range from a few hundredths of an inch to 0.20”.Aside from a few rain and/or snow showers in northwestern counties, Sunday will be dry and windy. Expect 15-25 mph sustained northwesterly winds, with gusts up to 35-40 mph. Sunday’s highs will reach the low to mid-50s early then fall to the 40s during the afternoon under a mix of clouds and sunshine. It remains blustery and it will be much cooler in the mid to upper 40s Monday. Winds will be west-northwesterly 15-25 mph, with gusts to 30 mph. Most of Tuesday looks dry until evening when a system moving by just south could clip the area with a few showers towards evening. Highs are still cooler than average in the mid to upper 40s. Winds are much lighter.Temperatures moderate to the low-to-mid 50s toward the end of the week, with the next best chance for showers Friday into Saturday.Have a great rest of your evening!~ Ryan
