Nolan Brian Przybysz, age 13, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on November 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 9, 2011, Nolan was a bright, joyful light whose presence changed every life he touched.

Nolan radiated pure joy. He had a smile that disarmed everyone in the room and a friendliness that made strangers feel like instant friends. He loved greeting people, driving his wheelchair with fearless enthusiasm, and intentionally crashing into things just to make others laugh. His sense of humor was unmatched. He found delight in the unexpected, from a dramatic fall to a baby crying, and he made sure everyone around him shared in the joke.

He adored trucks of every kind, Marvel super heroes, and rap music. Nolan never hesitated to talk a little trash through his communication device, usually by calling someone “old” or “weak,” and doing it with a grin that made it impossible not to laugh with him.

Nolan was a proud student at Avonworth Middle School, and before that attended The Watson Institute, where he was cherished by classmates, teachers, and staff. His resilience and strength were woven into everything he did. He was never defined by what he faced, but by the way he lived with bravery, humor, and a heart full of love.

He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Laura and Rob Przybysz, his little brother, Julian, his grandparents, his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved home nurse, who was truly a second mom to him. Nolan built a community wherever he went, and everyone who knew him is better for having known him.

Nolan’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the entire team at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for the extraordinary care, dedication, and compassion they provided throughout his life. Their support enabled Nolan to live with joy, dignity, and love.

Family will welcome friends on Saturday, November 22nd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford), where a service will be held following visitation at 5:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation in Nolan’s name.
