On Senior Night, Madison Smith made history.

Abington Heights’ libero recorded the 1,000th dig of her career and led the team to a 3-0 (25-5, 25-13, 25-15) win over West Scranton on Wednesday night. The Lady Comets remained undefeated and clinched a tie for the Lackawanna League championship. They finish the regular season Monday at Dunmore.

Smith had five digs in the match and also contributed three aces and three assists. Abington Heights (19-0 overall, .756 rating) remained in second place in the District 2 Class 3A power rating standings. Berwick leads (14-1, .798) with one match remaining.

Anna Beck had five kills, Kathryn Beck had five kills and eight digs, and Katherine Hastie added seven aces and 25 assists for the Lady Comets.

Mia Tallo had two kills and two digs, Aubrey Kerrigan had two aces, and Elianny Tieno had seven digs for West Scranton (3-11).

Mountain View 3, Susquehanna 1: Addison Kilmer had 21 kills, six assists, nine digs and eight blocks to lead the Lady Eagles in a 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 win.

Aubrey Sanders contributed 10 kills, 37 assists and three aces. Karley Norton had 25 kills and nine digs, and Abbie Mitchell had three aces and six digs for Mountain View (7-7).

Camryn Sellitto had five kills and 12 digs, including the 500th in her career for Susquehanna. Adrianna Rockwell added five aces, 10 digs and four blocks, Lauren Huyck had six kills and 20 assists and Leah Roe had seven kills, four digs and three blocks for the Lady Sabers (5-7).

Elk Lake 3, Forest City 0: Aleece Greenley had nine kills and Maddy Ely had eight kills and 15 assists in a 25-22, 25-5, 25-18 win.

Sally Farrell added four aces for the Lady Warriors (4-9).

Amthyst Keoloha-Silva had seven service points with four aces, Ella Casper had three service points and Ashleigh Arneese had three service points for Forest City (0-13).
