SCRANTON, Kan. (WIBW) – A woman was taken to an area hospital after she suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Monday in Osage County, officials said.
The crash was reported at 12:14 a.m. Monday near W. 189th Street and Scranton Road, about four miles south of Scranton.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2017 Jeep Compass sport utility vehicle was headed south on Scranton Road approaching the T-intersection at W. 189th Street when it struck the south embankment.

The driver, identified as Kathrynn E. Pence, 33, of Lydon, was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital with serious injuries. The patrol said Pence, who was alone in the SUV, was wearing her seat belt.
