To support the Public Media Bridge Fund, John Oliver, host of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” and the creator of the iconic Erie SeaWolves rebrand promotion the Erie Moon Mammoths, is auctioning off show memorabilia through Nov. 24.
The memorabilia include game-used Moon Mammoths items including signed bats, balls, batting helmets, jerseys and more.
Here are the items that are up for auction and what your bid is benefiting.
What is the Public Media Bridge Fund?
As the American Public Media system is facing funding challenges after the elimination of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting funding, the Public Media Bridge Fund created a response with a strategic philanthropic initiative. This initiative is designed to guide the public media system through crisis to a more sustainable and impactful future.
The Public Media Bridge is using the approach of securing local service, protecting vulnerable infrastructure, assisting local organization, pursuing system-level opportunities and helping stabilize public media’s national network.
