Sharon Udasin author talk: 6 p.m. Thursday, Longmont Public Library, 409 Fourth Ave., Longmont. Attend a talk with Sharon Udasin, author of “Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America.” In the book, Udasin and coauthor Rachel Frazin trace an ugly history of corporate greed, military impunity and community devastation, based on original reporting in four highly contaminated places. They introduce readers to people who, while fighting for their own lives, take action to fix a broken regulatory system and provide searing evidence as to how PFAS producers were aware of the deadly risks for decades while the government failed to protect its citizens.
