A special gathering in Kochi brought together the cast and crew of ‘Summer in Bethlehem’ to unveil its newly restored 4K Atmos trailer.

A gathering was held in Kochi to revisit memories of ‘Summer in Bethlehem’, the hit film released 27 years ago. The event marked the launch of the film’s newly cut trailer. Produced by Siyad Koker under the Kokers Films banner and directed by Sibi Malayil, the trailer was unveiled at the Gokulam Convention Centre in the presence of Sibi Malayil, members of the crew, actress Manju Warrier, and former child actors Nia, Krishna and Ansu, along with several filmmakers.
Manju Warrier said she worked on the ‘Summer in Bethlehem’ movie “in an escapist mood” and recalled several memorable moments from the shoot. Producer Siyad Koker said the film is being re-released in 4K Atmos using modern technology, noting that audiences continue to enjoy its storytelling, engaging moments, memorable songs and striking visuals.
The restored version is being released in partnership with Kokers Films, Anjana Talkies and Everyday Films, with remastering handled by High Studios. The film is scheduled for release on December 12.
The cast includes Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Kalabhavan Mani, Janardhanan, Augustine, Sukumari, Mayuri and Rasika, with Mohanlal playing a key role. The script is by Ranjith.
The film’s credits include lyrics by Girish Puthenchery, music by Vidyasagar, cinematography by Sanjiv Shankar, editing by L Bhoominathan, art direction by Boban and publicity by PRO Vazhoor Jose.
