This will be MHEDS fourth location in Erie and has doubled its clinical capacity.
Erie’s healthcare provider for refugees and immigrants is continuing to expand.
The Multi-Cultural Health Evaluation System (MHEDS) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony today at its new location on the city’s east side—located in the former CVS store on Buffalo Road.
Now, the organization offers primary care, behavioral health, and a wide range of additional services to families in need.
This will be MHEDS’ fourth location in Erie, and in the past year, the organization has doubled its clinical capacity.
Alivia Haibach stated, “This neighborhood has been disinvested in for a long time in terms of medical care. We know there is medically a need here and we hope to meet it.”
MHEDS hopes to open the new facility by January 2027.
