WYOMISSING, Pa. – The Just Between Friends Winter Sale is going on now at the Berkshire Mall. The consignment sale is a place local families can get some deals around the holidays.
“We’re deal hunters, so any time we see a bargain, we’re all about it,” said Christopher Balzer.
Balzer and family are on a mission at the JBF Winter Sale.
“It’s Christmastime, so we’re kind of just looking for Christmas items,” Balzer said. “They have all kinds of toys, they have strollers. Everything you could possibly imagine for children is right here in one place.”
“I just really like it because I’ve got three kids so this helps a lot to come here and not have to spend full price and still find stuff that I know my kids will like,” said Lisa Finger, who lives in Denver, PA.
Just Between Friends is local families selling and local families buying.
“Everything is here all at once,” said Stephanie Lineaweaver, Just Between Friends Franchise Administrator. “If you’re on Facebook or Marketplace, you’re selling something to a particular audience. If you’re selling here, everybody’s coming here for multiple different things for their kids.”
Organizers say the sale has grown even more in recent years as shoppers move away from the throw away culture and more toward consignment and recycling of goods.
“I think everybody is trying to save money,” Lineaweaver said.
“In the past, for three kids here, I could do $200 and probably if I bought it brand new, I’d be upwards of $500-600. So, I think it’s a great savings,” Finger said.
The JBF sale goes through Sunday.
