Al Bucheral joined the U.S. Air Force not long after graduating from Erie’s Academy High School.
He was a natural fit for the Military.
The story of a U.S. Air Force Veteran and current member of the Erie Fire Department.
His uncles served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force.
Now two of his sons are serving.
This all happened after he failed to land a position as an Air Traffic Controller.
The Erie community is better for it.
Al has spent the last 15 years working for the Erie Fire Department.
He’s currently the Erie Bureau First Assistant Chief.
He also volunteers at many Veterans functions serving meals and supporting those who came before and after him.
