A man has been charged with murder after police said he allegedly shot another man to death from a second-floor window in North Philadelphia earlier this week.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, around 1:40 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 1100 West Venango Street.
Upon arrival, police said officers found an unresponsive man lying between two parked vehicles in front of the 3500 block of North Warnock Street.
The man, identified as 23-year-old Quamar Adams of Norristown, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his back. Officers transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:05 a.m.
Police said following an investigation, detectives identified the shooter as 40-year-old Dwayne Robinson of Philadelphia.
A person is in custody after a man was shot and killed in Hunting Park early Monday morning. NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle has the story.
According to police, Robinson is alleged to have fired at Adams from a second-floor window.
Investigators initially told NBC10 that Adams was shot while attempting to steal a black Mercedes-Benz.
Police said Robinson has been charged with murder, violations of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA), and related offenses.
