NEW GARDEN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — Three people are dead after a police chase ended in a crash early Friday morning.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. near Gap Newport Pike and Sharp Road in New Garden Township, Chester County.
Pennsylvania state police say the chase started over an attempted traffic stop after troopers say they noticed the vehicle allegedly committing multiple traffic violations in the area of E 3rd Street and Garner Drive.

When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit ensued.
A short time later, police say the vehicle lost control and crashed.
All three people inside the vehcile were killed in the crash, according to police. Investigators are working to identify the occupants and notify next of kin.
No police were injured.
Crash investigators remain on the scene.
