DISTRICT TWP., Pa. – A wildlife center in Berks County says a wild cat that escaped is still on the loose and is believed to be in the Oley area.
Three cats had escaped from the Cricket Wildlife Center in District Township after gusty winds caused a tree to fall on their enclosure. Two have since been found.
It has been confirmed that the third cat’s collar is still on, but the tracker was broken off shortly after she got out, according to a Facebook post from the Cricket Wildlife Center in District Township.
The center says the Serval cat is not a danger to pets or children.
Anyone who sees the cat is asked to call the center at 717-381-9893.
The center asks people not to approach or call to the cat, because she will get scared and run.
