Amazon has announced plans to create 11,500 seasonal positions in Pennsylvania as part of its nationwide effort to hire 250,000 employees for the upcoming holiday season.Â
 The company is also promoting its $1 billion investment in wages and benefits for fulfillment and transportation employees nationwide.Â
 The average wage for the seasonal workers will be more than $19 per hourÂ
