Glenn I. Fessler

OBITUARY

Glenn I. Fessler, 82, of Wernersville, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Reading

Hospital. He was the husband of Joan (Gelsinger) Fessler with whom he celebrated 56 years of

marriage on July 5th .

He was born August 25, 1943 to George W. and Esther (Keen) Fessler. He graduated from

Conrad Weiser High School in 1961 and received and associate degree from Penn State. He

served in the US Navy and for 20 years in the Naval Reserves.

Initially he sold farm equipment, but through most of his life he sold lawn & garden equipment

(Gravely & Kubota).

He grew up on a farm and through most of his life, in his spare time, he helped his son or

daughter doing field work whether preparing to plant or to harvest.

He was an active member of St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC and served on the consistory and the

Cemetery Board.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Keith G. Fessler, husband of Heather

(Fuls), Kay L., wife of James Vonglis, and Karen H., wife of Jon Merrell; nine grandchildren,

Jacqueline, Madeline, and Katherine Vonglis, Charlotte, David, and Daniel Merrell, and Jared

(Katelyn), Dylan, and Macey Fessler. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Fessler,

and a sister, Dawn (Fessler) Zettlemoyer.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 22nd, at St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC, 591 N. Church

Road, Wernersville, with his pastor, the Rev. Mark Johnson, officiating. A viewing will be held

from 1-2:00 PM, at the church. Burial will be in Hain’s Church Cemetery. Online condolences
