Erie police are investigating after an early morning shooting on the city’s east side early Friday morning.
Police said calls for that shooting came in around 12:45 a.m. Friday near East 18th Street and Downing Avenue, with one person suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was treated and later released from UPMC Hamot, with the shooter unknown at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
