Paul Friel, a Democrat who represents part of Chester County, released a statement saying the resolution formally condemns any rhetoric, regardless of speaker or party, that could be “reasonably construed as encouraging or threatening political violence against members of the legislative branch.”Friel said the resolution also “reaffirms how military personnel are trained to protect the Constitution and to reject any unlawful directives.”Friel explained that the resolution was in response to Truth Social posts Trump made on Thursday.
