On the day before the annual Polar Plunge, General McLane High School staff and students hosted the Polar Plunge at Edinboro.

Proceeds benefit local Special Olympians.


It is the third consecutive year General McLane has hosted the event.

225 students from General McLane, Maplewood, Northwestern and Corry participated.

Wave after wave of students made the leap into the chilly waters of Edinboro Lake.

All of the proceeds from the event, benefit local Special Olympians.

The money is used for new equipment and travel expenses.

The annual Polar Plunge takes place Saturday, November 22 at Presque Isle State Park.

The opening ceremony is set for 11:30 am and the first wave of participants will hit the water at Noon.
