ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Allentown Police are investigating two separate pedestrian strikes Friday night, one of which has been confirmed fatal.

Police said a pedestrian who was hit earlier in the evening on the 2400 block of South 4th Street has died from their injuries. Investigators are searching for a white box truck, a cab-over-style vehicle, wanted in connection with the hit-and-run.

The truck was seen in the area immediately after the impact and may have front-end damage, authorities said. No license plate information has been released. Police are asking anyone with information or video footage from the neighborhood to contact the department.

Hours later, a second pedestrian was struck at the intersection of North 8th and Linden streets. The victim was taken to a hospital, but police have not released details on the extent of their injuries.
