A 60-year-old Dickson City man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle Saturday night as he was walking on Business Route 6 in Dickson City, according to Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland.

The crash was reported at 5:46 p.m. in the vicinity of the Circle Drive-In.

The man, who was not yet identified pending notifiication of family, was pronounced dead at the scene by County Chief Deputy Jess Deusen.

Dickson City Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

The incident closed Business Route 6 westbound for several hours.
