A man has been hospitalized after, police say, he was discovered by officers after being shot in the back overnight in North Philadelphia.
According to police, at about 5 a.m. officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim along the 2700 block of North Hicks Street in North Philadelphia, to find a man who had been shot in his back.
The man — who police did not immediately provide further information on — was taken to a nearby hospital.
However, contacted early Sunday, officials were not able to detail the severity of the victim’s injuries.
Also, police announced no arrests in this incident and did not discuss a motive in the shooting.
But, officials said, an investigation is ongoing.
