BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A 30-year-old man was critically injured after being shot in Bethlehem early Friday morning.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 1 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Pierce Street, according to Capt. William Audelo with the Bethlehem Police Department.

The man went to the hospital, Audelo said. He is expected to survive.

Detectives say they are investigating a suspect, but no arrests have been made yet.

Police say the shooting was an isolated incident between the victim and the shooter.

There is no danger to the public, police said.

No word yet on what led up to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
