NEW GARDEN TWP., Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) in Chester County are providing an update on a crash that took the lives of three people.
A news release issued by PSP Troop J identified 35-year-old Devon Hargraves, 33-year-old Gershad Andre, and 36-year-old Larry Wilmer as the victims. Police say all three were from Wilmington, Delaware.
Troopers tried to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle after seeing multiple traffic violations in the area of E. 3rd Street and Garner Drive in New Garden Township around 1:20 a.m Friday, according to a news release.
State Police say a pursuit began after the vehicle failed to stop.
The fleeing vehicle crashed soon after, killing all three inside.
PSP officials say no troopers were injured in the crash.
The Troop J Major Case Team is continuing their investigation into the crash. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
